Water Monkey Stand Up Presents: 2010 Spring Series!!!

Water Monkey Stand Up will be hosting Florida's premiere SUP series this spring. Events will be held each month starting in February and conclude in May with the championship. Participants of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to come out and try the world's fastest growing water sport! Events will include both an individual and relay format. Whether your new to the sport or never even been on a board, it doesn't matter! Anyone can master stand up paddleboarding. Look at these guys!

2010: Year of the Water Monkey!!

Water Monkey will have paddles and boards available for everyone who needs them at every event!

I am currently working on full corporate sponsorship for all Water Monkey events. Let me know if your business is interested! In the spring of 2010 I plan on having many more prizes and tons of free stuff! Get ready for Water Monkey Spring Series to take over Tampa Bay!!!

Each event will be held at a great location in the Tampa Bay area. Events will include the option of an individual 1.5 or 3 mile paddle, as well as the exciting new TEAM RELAY segment. Registration will include official race t-shirt, food, prizes, and a great time!

Individual Competition

Participants will be able to compete in either a 1.5 or 3 mile course. Courses will be set up in fun and exciting formats that will keep everyone close and in the action.

Team Relay's

After the individual event, we will host our team relay section. Participants are encouraged to form teams of 4 that they would like to compete with throughout the season. Teams of 3 are also OK. One person will have to go twice. If you don't have a team, don't worry! We will make sure everyone has a team! If you know someone who you think would like to try SUP, bring them out and put them on your team! Each team only needs one board and paddle for all 4 participants. We will have boards and paddles available for those who need them! Start forming your teams now!

First, get a group together from work, family, or friends. Next, give your team a creative name and make a uniform if your feeling adventurous. Finally, bring everyone out to enjoy the fun and exciting sport of stand up paddleboarding!

Year of the Water Monkey!!

I am very excited for 2010. I created Water Monkey to promote the sport of stand up paddleboarding. Next year is the year it is going to absolutely take off in Florida! California and Hawaii have already experienced this boom. The Battle of the Paddle in California drew over 600 competitors and thousands of spectators this past fall. Tampa is stand up paddleboardings next big market. You should feel lucky to be at the beginning of what is going to be an explosive movement. These are the early days of what will surely become the next big sport of our generation! So come out and be a part of the Water Monkey SUP revolution!!!
